Brittany
Sawyer received her Juris Doctor degree from the
University of Maine School of Law in 2015. Throughout her time at law
school, Brittany was a student attorney at the Cumberland Legal Aid
Clinic where she handled family matters, protection from abuse, and
elder law cases. Brittany began her experience with child protective
work at the Attorney General’s Office where she argued appeal in the
Superior Court, leading to the creation of a new precedent.
Additionally, Brittany is a recipient of the Pro Bono Public Award.
Brittany received her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Political Science
with cum laude distinction from Sacred Heart University in 2012.
Amongst many other involvements, Brittany was a member of Sacred
Heart’s Nationally Ranked NCAA Division 1 Dance Team.
Brittany grew up in Saco, Maine and is a graduate of Thornton Academy.
She is a member of the Thornton Academy Alumni Board Auxiliary
Committee and serves as her class agent.
Currently, Brittany is a resident of York County where she
continues to engage herself in various volunteering capacities
throughout the community, such as Relay for Life and Perform for a
Cure. In her free time, she maintains her involvement with dance
through freelance choreographing.
